Solid, Spindle, or European: Choosing Stall Dividers

Pick the divider by the horse — privacy where you need it, airflow where you don't.

The wall between stalls does two jobs — separate horses and still let air move. Pick by the horse.

Spindle dividers — upright bars across the top for full airflow and sightlines. Good for friendly horses and healthy ventilation.

Solid dividers — a wood wall the full height for privacy and to stop kicking and nose-to-nose contact between horses that don't get along. The choice for foaling, stallions, or quarantine.

European dividers — curved to match European fronts for a consistent look.

The common setup: solid on the bottom, open on top — privacy and kick protection where it matters, air and light where it helps. Mix solid and spindle down the aisle so each horse gets what it needs. All our dividers use a 1¾-inch square-tube frame, take 2x6 lumber, and come in any length.
